Here at Rosen Orthodontics we are dedicated to providing the best orthodontic treatment options for our patients. We offer treatment options such as Invisalign throughout the greater areas of Illinois; with 2 locations in Highland Park and Buffalo Grove.Rosen Orthodontics wants to keep you knowledgable and aware of all available options to make sure you receive the care that best fits your personal needs.

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign and Invisalign Teen are clear aligners engineered to make the orthodontic process easier and more enjoyable, much like the ones provided by Smile Direct Club. The difference with Invisalign is that the process is overseen and handled by a certified orthodontist that you know and trust. This ensures that the process is done smoothly and correctly. Upon follow up visits, you will receive new sets of aligners that will gradually move teeth to the desired position.

How Does Smile Direct Club Work?

Smile Direct Club is an at home service that allows you to receive orthodontic treatment without ever having to physically visit an orthodontist. Upon sign up, customers visit a SmileShop where a 3D image is captured, or if there is no such facility nearby, at-home impression kits are sent to you. After receiving your impressions back, a dental professional with Smile Direct Club will review and assess your treatment plan. On average, treatment plans last around 6 months.Invisalign Vs. Smile Direct ClubEach treatment option offers its own set of benefits that can appeal to different personal preferences. The Smile Direct Club results can be just as effective as Invisalign results. The Smile Direct Club cost and Invisalign cost can also be comparable. However, Smile Direct Club does have some differences that may pose as an inconvenience for certain patients. Disadvantages of Smile Direct Club:

  • locating a SmileShop near you
  • dealing with messy molds at home
  • waiting on mail back and forth
  • replacing dentist visits with post office visits
  • anonymous professionals handling treatment
  • additional equipment costs
